Electrical Engineer IV (Power Systems)

What you will do

• Lead electrical design across programming, design development, construction documentation, and construction support.
• Design and coordinate low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, feeders, grounding, and protective devices.
• Perform load, short-circuit, voltage-drop, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Direct electrical engineers and designers while coordinating scope, schedules, staffing, and budgets with project managers.
• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, structural, process, construction, contractor, vendor, utility, and equipment teams.
• Provide construction support, quality reviews, field surveys, RFI responses, submittal reviews, site observations, and punch-list development.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting or design firm.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience designing and leading building or industrial power systems and voltage-based electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable building codes, power distribution, lighting, and special systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, multidisciplinary leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GMP manufacturing environments, life sciences, or food and beverage facilities.
