AIT Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Development, production, and operation of Nyx, a modular and reusable orbital vehicle designed to carry cargo and potentially humans.

What you will do

• Prepare, execute, and manage dynamic testing, including vibration and shock tests, for spacecraft subsystems and prototypes.
• Prepare, execute, and manage thermal testing, including thermal cycling and thermal vacuum testing.
• Define requirements, write procedures, manage test setups, and complete post-test reviews and reports.
• Execute tests using in-house equipment and coordinate testing at external facilities.
• Procure and install instrumentation, tools, and ground support equipment required for testing.
• Support mechanical integration of the Nyx Capsule, qualification plans, anomaly resolution, and the design of machined parts and tools.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in mechanical science, instrumentation and testing, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace vehicles.
• Ability to manage multiple testing activities in parallel and maintain rigorous documentation.
• Proficiency in safety standards and quality control during assembly and test operations.
• Mechanical skills with electrical, digital, and electromechanical knowledge.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the business in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with vibration tables, thermal chambers, or similar test equipment.
• Leadership, problem-solving, prioritization, and hands-on engineering skills.
