Generalist Junior Consultant and Consultants, Auckland

Location: Auckland, New Zealand; consulting work is performed at client sites and may require interstate and international travel.

What you will do

• Work with consulting case teams and clients on challenging projects across business, government, and society.
• Analyze complex business problems using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• As a Junior Consultant, support case team members and progressively take end-to-end responsibility for project workstreams.
• As a Consultant, manage larger and more complex project components, identify client issues, and develop strategies for change.
• Build consensus around recommendations and collaborate with colleagues to turn client potential into performance.
• Work across varied project lengths, team sizes, locations, and industry contexts, with possible interstate and international travel.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree and/or postgraduate qualification such as a Master’s, MBA, or PhD, with outstanding academic performance.
• At least 3 years of full-time consulting or industry experience with a strong record of achievement.
• Consulting or industry experience in areas such as mining, oil and gas, engineering, climate and sustainability, consumer products, private equity, public sector, banking and finance, law, healthcare, technology, or telecommunications.
• Strong analytical and creative thinking, quantitative and qualitative problem-solving, and ability to explain complex ideas.
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel interstate and work remotely on client sites.

• More than 5 years of full-time experience and a demonstrated career progression for the Consultant level.
