TL;DR
Material Planner (Electrification/Distribution Solution): Managing end-to-end material planning, inventory policies, replenishment, purchase orders, and supplier performance for electrical distribution and primary switchgear products with an accent on inventory optimization, procurement coordination, and supply risk management. Focus on calculating planning parameters, improving supplier delivery performance, developing contingency plans, and leading material planning and purchasing operations.
Location: Onsite in Xiamen, Fujian, China

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end planning of production materials, from demand forecasting and purchase requisitions through purchase orders, delivery, logistics, and payment.
- Define inventory policies and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment strategies in ERP and planning systems.
- Coordinate material planning and call-offs with operations buyers, services, project managers, master planning, and sourcing teams.
- Manage supplier performance covering on-time delivery, minimum order quantities, quality, lead times, capacity, and flexibility.
- Assess supply risks and implement mitigation measures, including backup suppliers, safety stock, and material substitutions.
- Lead inventory planning, analysis, obsolete-material management, digital tool development, and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 5 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, project engineering, or supply chain management.
- At least 2 years of team management experience.
- Experience with material management in the distribution solutions market and knowledge of electrical equipment materials and supplier lead times.
- Qualification in the ERP material management module, with strong data analysis, logical thinking, coordination, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- English communication and reporting skills are required.
