TL;DR
Lead React Developer (React/React Native): Building and optimizing mobile applications across React and React Native while collaborating with backend, product, and design teams, with an accent on scalable architecture, native integrations, and complex issue resolution. Focus on providing technical leadership, modularizing features, debugging iOS and Android integrations, and mentoring engineers.
Location: Asuncion, Paraguay. Flexible work environment with remote, in-office, or hybrid options.

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize mobile applications with React and React Native.
- Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to deliver integrated features.
- Provide architectural guidance through clean boundaries, modularization, and scalable feature structures.
- Break complex projects into clear implementation plans and resolve difficult technical issues.
- Review code, share knowledge, mentor less experienced engineers, and help unblock teammates.
- Improve tooling, testing, development practices, and overall platform quality across mobile and web.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in both mobile and web development, with a strong focus on React.
- Experience with TypeScript, React Navigation, native iOS and Android modules, and modifying native mobile code.
- Experience with Jest, Vitest, RTL/RNTL, mocking complex integrations, and selecting appropriate unit or integration testing approaches.
- Ability to design clean, modular, and scalable features within complex codebases.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and proactive collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; understanding of PHI/PII sensitivity and secure data handling.
Nice to have
- Experience with state management, forms, validation, design systems, accessibility, responsiveness, and polished UX.
- Familiarity with SDKs and services such as Segment, Datadog, FullStory, Firebase, Notifee, CometChat, OpenTok, Cognito, Amplify, OAuth/OIDC, and Salesforce.
- Experience troubleshooting iOS and Android builds, using BrowserStack, and working with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Figma, design tokens, and cross-functional collaboration.
