Senior Security Software Engineer, Vulnerability Management

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Salary: $216,680–$269,170 USD annual base pay.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain internal software products for vulnerability awareness and remediation at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Design and build automated systems that surface security issues to responsible owners.
• Create tools and features that make vulnerability remediation understandable across the technology stack.
• Mentor junior engineers in secure software development and vulnerability management practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in security or related fields.
• Software engineering experience, preferably with a security focus.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C#.
• Experience solving operational problems with software-based solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• For US-based roles, certain US visa categories may not be supported, and future H-1B sponsorship may not be available.
