Senior Software Engineer, Ads Experience (C++)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; office-based roles are onsite Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Salary: $243,290–$295,250 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build a first-of-its-kind advertising system within the Roblox Game Engine.
• Develop new advertising formats and integrations, starting with video.
• Design and improve systems that scale across Roblox experiences.
• Build production systems focused on user experience, performance, and platform integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community-respecting advertising solutions.
• Help establish the foundation of Roblox's advertising business.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience working in deep, complex C++ codebases and solving challenging technical problems.
• Strong background in app metrics, analytics, or data science.
• Ability to interpret data and act on analytical insights.
• Deep understanding of accurate and reliable data systems.
• Experience building and maintaining robust, production-quality systems.
