Technical Lead, Drupal (Drupal)

Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC, with on-site work up to 2 days per week; all work must be conducted within the United States.

Salary: $108,006–$183,610 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain secure, accessible, responsive, and high-performing Drupal websites.
• Design and execute automated testing strategies for reliable software delivery.
• Support the full application lifecycle, including deployment strategies and production releases.
• Mentor engineers and promote development best practices across varying experience levels.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to set priorities and deliver project outcomes.
• Participate in Agile planning, sprint execution, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building secure, accessible, responsive web applications.
• 5+ years building Drupal solutions, including module development, theming, migrations, automated testing, Drush, and Composer.
• 3 years of leadership experience.
• 7+ years working with HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
• All work must be conducted within the United States.
• Must be capable of receiving a Public Trust level clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Acquia, PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, and CakePHP.
• Experience building decoupled Drupal solutions.
• An active Drupal.org account.
• Understanding of containerization.
