Software Development Intern (Part-Time) (AI)

Location: In-person at the Mississauga headquarters, Ontario, Canada

AI-driven remote facility supervision solutions for the trucking and logistics industry, combining hardware, monitoring operations, and software.

What you will do

• Build internal tools and dashboards for performance tracking and operational decision-making.
• Develop automations that connect existing systems and reduce manual data entry.
• Create workflow tools for operations, customer success, and finance teams.
• Build and improve customer-facing applications.
• Maintain production tools by fixing bugs, improving functionality, writing tests, and documenting solutions.
• Use AI coding tools and incorporate AI capabilities into internal software.

Requirements

• Currently in the third or fourth year of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related program.
• Working knowledge of multiple programming languages, including JavaScript or TypeScript and a backend language such as Python.
• Frontend fundamentals with HTML, CSS, and React or Vue; backend fundamentals including REST APIs.
• Experience with third-party API integrations, databases, Git, and basic automated tests.
• Daily experience with AI coding tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, including reviewing, testing, and debugging generated code.
• Available for at least 20 hours per week during the school year and able to work in person at the Mississauga headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience with Replit or a similar cloud development platform.
• Experience building dashboards or reporting tools.
• GitHub profile or portfolio demonstrating an end-to-end project.
