Team Lead, Software Development (Web)

Annual base salary: $104,400–$135,700 CAD

What you will do

• Lead the technical direction and day-to-day delivery of the Marketing web development team.
• Coach, mentor, and support the career development of software developers.
• Plan and deliver marketing websites, landing pages, campaign experiences, content platforms, integrations, and related web products.
• Set standards for architecture, code quality, accessibility, performance, responsive design, security, SEO, and maintainability.
• Lead technical discovery, estimation, solution design, risk management, and prioritization.
• Establish development practices covering code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation, incident response, analytics, and experimentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including significant production web application delivery.
• 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring software developers, or equivalent technical leadership experience.
• Strong experience building and operating responsive, accessible, and high-performance websites and web applications.
• Technical proficiency with HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, C#/.NET, SQL, Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment practices, preferably GCP and Docker, as well as content management systems, design systems, component libraries, web analytics, SEO, experimentation, and privacy.
• A post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; strong communication, planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
