Lead Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Develop advanced statistical, data science, machine learning, and AI models for complex business and scientific problems.
• Design experiments, evaluation frameworks, validation methodologies, and performance benchmarks.
• Curate, transform, and analyse enterprise data assets, datasets, and feature sets.
• Select and refine modelling approaches across the full lifecycle from experimentation to production deployment.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, AI Scientists, and Engineers to integrate predictive, forecasting, and optimisation capabilities into scalable enterprise solutions.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in statistics, machine learning, predictive modelling, optimisation, and quantitative analysis.
• Deep understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing, Bayesian inference, causal inference, model evaluation, feature engineering, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, notebooks, cloud-based analytics platforms, and modern machine learning frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for ambiguous business and scientific challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills for technical and business audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience developing predictive models, optimisation capabilities, forecasting solutions, or advanced analytics.
• Experience with gradient boosting, ensemble methods, Bayesian modelling, time-series forecasting, or optimisation algorithms.
• Background in life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, laboratory environments, or advanced manufacturing.
