Play Invention Digital Internship (Physical Prototyping)

Location: Billund, Denmark; the internship must be completed there from 1 September to 31 December 2026

hirify.global develops play experiences and operates the Creative Play Lab, an innovation hub focused on new forms of play.

What you will do

• Brainstorm physical prototypes with a small team to explore new materials and functions for play.
• Use making skills to solve physical prototyping challenges.
• Design and build physical elements for specific prototype purposes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop concepts into playable prototypes.
• Co-create and test play experiences with children.

Requirements

• Remain a student for the full internship period and graduate after 31 December 2026.
• The internship must contribute course credit and be a compulsory part of the education program.
• Be available for the full-time internship in Billund from 1 September through 31 December 2026.
• Demonstrate curiosity, bravery, focus, adaptability, and collaborative skills.
• Submit an English-language application with a poster, current CV, full portfolio, and a cover letter of no more than 200 words as four separate PDF documents.

Nice to have

• Experience with sketching, painting, sculpture, woodwork, graphic design, hirify.global model building, textiles, or workshop tools.
• Experience with electronics, 3D CAD programs, game engines, coding, videography, or editing.
