Play Finders Internship

Location: Billund, Denmark; candidates must be able to live and work there from 1 September to 31 December 2026. The role follows a hybrid workplace policy with an average of three days per week in the office.

hirify.global's Creative Play Lab is an innovation hub developing new play opportunities and next-generation experiences through experimentation, technology, research, and design.

What you will do

• Explore and analyse old and new forms of play to identify ingredients for products and experiences.
• Remix media, trends, hirify.global elements, and concepts using digital and physical tools.
• Find playful applications for new technologies, materials, and playthings.
• Gather inspiration from the wider world and share findings with internal innovation teams.
• Challenge colleagues to approach toy design from a child's perspective.
• Collaborate across disciplines to develop ideas into playable prototypes.

Requirements

• Must remain a student for the full internship period and graduate after 31 December 2026.
• The internship must contribute course credit and be a compulsory part of the candidate's education.
• Available for the full-time internship in Billund from 1 September through 31 December 2026.
• Curiosity, bravery, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with sketching, painting, sculpture, woodwork, graphic design, hirify.global model building, textiles, or workshop tools.
• Experience with electronics, 3D CAD programs, game engines, coding, or videography and editing.
• Broad understanding of the toy market, genres, and play types.
