TL;DR
Premier Resident Engineer (PRE) - Riyadh Area (Enterprise Cloud Networking): Providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization for customer wireless, edge, campus, and ExtremeCloud IQ environments with an accent on network architecture, cloud networking, and customer escalation management. Focus on diagnosing complex Layer 1–7 issues, executing resolution plans, guiding ExtremeCloud IQ adoption, and maintaining the health of customer network environments.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Hybrid workplace; the role is mainly onsite with customers, with travel below 20% where agreed. Working hours are Sunday–Thursday, 8:00–17:00 local time, with flexibility for after-hours, weekends, and planned travel.

Salary: 290–320K SAR.

What you will do

  • Provide technical support for Premier customers across wireless, edge, campus, wired, and cloud networking products.
  • Handle cases, perform first-line troubleshooting, escalate complex issues, and coordinate with Extreme GTAC, customers, partners, and third-party maintainers.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across customer network environments, including routing, switching, wireless, network management, and ExtremeCloud IQ.
  • Define and execute problem-resolution plans, communicate status and closure, and manage complex customer situations.
  • Plan and maintain customer environment health, optimization, upgrades, and proactive support activities.
  • Participate in support meetings, reporting, technical training, and industry certification activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, a Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10 years of experience in technical support, including Layer 1–7 troubleshooting, signaling, data analytics, switching, and routing.
  • Strong IP networking fundamentals, network analysis, troubleshooting, network architecture, and internet routing protocol knowledge.
  • Experience with Extreme Fabric Connect, Fabric Engine, ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine, ExtremeControl, ExtremeAnalytics, Extreme Wireless, Switch Engine, and ExtremeCloud IQ or Extreme Platform ONE.
  • Business-level English communication is required. Arabic is preferred.
  • Extreme certification must be acquired within one year of employment; CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE is advantageous.

Nice to have

  • Cloud, Ethernet Fabric, and network management experience.
  • Arabic or additional language skills.
  • CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
