Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Singapore; at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Build, test, and maintain secure, production-ready code for the Cloud Platform team.
• Develop APIs, microservices, reusable platform components, and frontend functionality used by engineering teams.
• Build and maintain platform automation and configuration management content across large fleets of systems.
• Use generative AI tools for coding, testing, code review, documentation, and daily engineering work.
• Design AI agents and orchestrate autonomous, multi-step workflows.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, QA, support, Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Security teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and supporting enterprise Java or J2EE applications.
• Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and a modern frontend framework such as Angular or React.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms, distributed systems, scalable architecture, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Practical experience using generative AI coding assistants and productivity tools for prompt engineering, code review, test generation, documentation, and development.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, version control, code quality gates, and release automation.
• Confidence with Unix/Linux command-line tools, Linux and Windows environments, enterprise infrastructure, debugging, Agile delivery, and cross-functional technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience designing agent-based architectures and orchestrating agents across multi-step tasks.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with financial services, payments, dispute processing, or other high-volume, mission-critical enterprise platforms.
