Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; travel approximately 10–20%

What you will do

• Monitor and respond to security alerts across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Investigate, triage, and escalate security incidents.
• Tune and optimize detection rules across SIEM, EDR, and DLP platforms.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using behavioral anomalies, threat intelligence, and environmental context.
• Deploy and configure DLP, endpoint protection, and cloud security controls.
• Collaborate with global SOC and engineering teams and develop incident response documentation and playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security operations, SOC, or incident response.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Sentinel, Splunk, or Rapid7, as well as EDR, CSPM, and DLP technologies.
• Strong understanding of security fundamentals, attacker TTPs, detection engineering, threat hunting, and behavioral analytics.
• Fluent English and Spanish required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell.
