Focus on resolving high-volume transaction differences, documenting audit-ready reasoning, applying revenue recognition and indirect tax treatment to new products, and using AI to improve finance tooling.

What you will do
- Own the month-end close through trial balance, including journals, accruals, prepayments, cut-off, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconcile payment service provider settlements, game provider statements, player liabilities, and bonus liabilities, investigating differences to their source.
- Manage the capex register, including capitalization judgments, useful lives, disposals, and supporting audit trails.
- Lead year-end activities, statutory accounts, audit deliverables, gaming duty, VAT, and other submissions with external advisers.
- Assess revenue recognition, indirect tax, and gaming duty treatment for new products during the design stage.
- Replace undocumented workbooks with controlled, repeatable processes and contribute to group projects such as treasury centralization.
Requirements
- Experience owning multi-entity, multi-currency financial close processes through trial balance.
- Experience reconciling high-volume settlement data from payment providers and merchant acquirers.
- Ability to use AI as a practical tool and build finance-related tooling.
- Strong documentation skills suitable for auditors and advisers.
- Ability to prioritize work and operate effectively with incomplete information.
- Level 3 professional / mid-career experience, reporting to the Director of Finance.
