Senior Data Engineer (ETL & Manufacturing Systems)

Location: Teparuk, Thailand; onsite manufacturing facility

hirify.global operates a manufacturing site producing nano-recording heads for hard disk drives.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing data operations, ETL services, data-flow reliability, monitoring, recovery, and continuous improvement.
• Design and improve Apache NiFi pipelines for data collection, validation, transformation, routing, replay, reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Act as the L2/L3 escalation point for complex FIS and data-flow incidents, leading investigation, recovery, root-cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor factory data transfers, pipeline execution, queues, service health, failures, recovery, and downstream delivery.
• Work with application, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, database, enterprise data, and factory teams to stabilize services and improve resiliency.
• Enable the 24/7 L1 FIS Operations team through runbooks, troubleshooting guides, escalation criteria, training, and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in production data operations, ETL/data integration, data-flow services, or manufacturing IT.
• Experience providing L2/L3 production support within a tiered 24/7 support and escalation model.
• Strong SQL and relational-database knowledge, including Oracle and PostgreSQL connectivity, schemas, transactions, performance, and data integrity.
• Experience with incident leadership, root-cause analysis, technical communication, coaching, and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work onsite at the Teparuk, Thailand manufacturing facility.

Nice to have

• Apache NiFi, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Kafka, event streaming, enterprise data warehouses, observability platforms, or data-quality frameworks.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing, MES/FIS, shop-floor, equipment integration, or traceability systems.
• Experience with Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration, ITIL, incident/problem management, BC/DR, cybersecurity, or audit controls.
