What you will do
- Develop and execute test cases, regression tests, automated tests, and software release approval matrices across the software development lifecycle.
- Verify product performance goals, project requirements, and software quality through documented testing activities.
- Prepare test environments, including hardware setup, device flashing, operating system configuration, and software installation.
- Perform integration testing, operational testing, and flight testing in and around Melbourne.
- Collaborate with software engineering, quality assurance, and hardware teams to improve software design, testing processes, and outcomes.
- Track schedules, identify risks or delays early, and communicate issues to engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- Experience testing across Windows and Linux platforms.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing test environments and operating systems.
- Ability to analyse and solve complex software engineering problems independently and collaboratively.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment and contributing to automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of fault tracking systems and ability to meet project schedules and deadlines.
Nice to have
- ISTQB accreditation.
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Hardware-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop testing experience.
- Experience testing and validating real-time embedded software systems.
