What you will do

• Lead support and operations for mission-critical Kafka messaging, streaming, integration, and Swagger Hub platforms across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Develop platform strategy, roadmaps, operational metrics, capacity plans, and continuous-improvement feedback loops.
• Manage incidents, upgrades, maintenance, high availability, disaster recovery, production support, and operational hygiene.
• Drive platform automation, self-service capabilities, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Jenkins.
• Help application teams onboard to messaging platforms and integrate applications, databases, and middleware technologies.
• Lead, coach, and develop onshore, nearshore, and offshore engineering teams while managing vendors, contracts, financial planning, and cross-functional delivery.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience developing and leading high-performing Kafka platform teams.
• At least 4 years of platform engineering and management experience with middleware technologies.
• At least 5 years delivering and operating in Agile or Kanban environments, including dependency management and priority trade-offs.
• 5–7 years of experience with cloud technologies, architecture, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and platform automation.
• At least 2 years managing high-performing 24x7 support teams.
• Expertise with Confluent Kafka, public cloud platforms, Linux, scripting, Kubernetes/Docker, middleware integrations, enterprise monitoring, HA/DR, and production support.

Nice to have

• 8+ years in technology leadership spanning architecture, platform, and infrastructure engineering.
• Experience in financial services or related fintech organizations.
• Experience creating strategy and roadmaps, presenting business cases, managing organizational change, and influencing senior leaders.
