Focus on synthesizing fragmented information, evaluating what is buildable with AI, and producing executive-ready briefs, presentations, and market maps.

Location: Hybrid work near the Portland, Oregon, or San Francisco, California offices, United States; occasional travel to industry events and internal meetings.

Salary: $83,000–$148,830 annual base salary for U.S.-based roles. Offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain automated intelligence systems, including source monitoring and refresh workflows.
  • Track AI-driven changes across competitors, startups, funding, product releases, partnerships, research, talent movement, and regulation.
  • Work with business functions, product management, engineering, and technical benchmarking to define markets, map competition, size opportunities, and test commercial assumptions.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into defensible points of view and connect findings to broader business implications.
  • Coordinate research and intelligence projects, manage contributors and timelines, and capture conclusions in clear deliverables.
  • Produce recurring and fast-turn competitive intelligence, executive-ready briefs, presentations, and market maps for senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, business intelligence, strategy, consulting, product management, software engineering, data engineering, or a combination of these areas.
  • Experience building workflows, agents, or pipelines that operate without constant manual intervention.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to form defensible conclusions from incomplete or fragmented information.
  • Ability to lead projects or significant workstreams involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Data storytelling and presentation skills for communicating complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Interest in physical AI across manufacturing, AECO, or media and entertainment.
  • Experience with customer discovery, market validation, go-to-market analysis, or business case development.
  • Working experience with Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with PitchBook, CB Insights, Crunchbase, or similar market data sources.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience.
