Senior Director, Cell Culture Strategy (Biotechnology)

Location: On-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts, or Logan, Utah, United States; up to 30% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $210,000–$250,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end strategic planning for the Cell Culture business, including vision, long-term financial ambition, and competitive positioning.
• Partner with the General Manager and Product Leaders on growth opportunities, portfolio decisions, and investment priorities.
• Assess market intelligence, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
• Establish operating cadence, metrics, and cross-functional reviews to track strategic priorities and resolve tradeoffs.
• Facilitate strategic workshops and align Product Management, R&D, Commercial, and Insights teams around execution.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required, preferably in a scientific, technical, or business field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in bioprocessing, life sciences, pharma services, or related markets preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent corporate strategy, market analysis, product strategy, or business leadership experience.
• Experience executing strategy in an operating business environment, with strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Experience in bioprocessing and/or cell culture is strongly preferred.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and interact with senior executives.
