TL;DR
Head of Warehouse Projects (Warehouse Automation): Delivering large-scale warehouse automation and CapEx implementation projects, from retrofits and goods-to-person integrations to new-site layouts, with an accent on site readiness, vendor governance, budget control, and commissioning. Focus on managing critical paths, resolving cross-functional delivery risks, and bringing high-throughput fulfillment hubs into operational use across Europe.
Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid with three days in the office and two days working from home. Regular international travel across the European site network is required.

operates end-to-end grocery fulfillment through in-house technology, automated distribution centers, and last-mile delivery.
What you will do
- Own warehouse implementation projects from kickoff through commissioning, go-live, and operational handover.
- Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and critical-path milestones for fit-outs, retrofits, and new-site layouts.
- Govern external contractors, equipment vendors, and systems integrators on site.
- Coordinate Solution Design, Automation, Procurement, Facilities, and Operations to translate designs into built assets.
- Lead risk management, dependency tracking, testing, commissioning, and operational sign-off.
- Report project status, risks, and financial variances to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading large-scale CapEx delivery projects in warehouse automation, material handling, or industrial manufacturing.
- Engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Practical understanding of material handling systems, conveyors, racking, and goods-to-person or AS/RS technologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex critical paths, project budgets, and multi-vendor environments.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and vendor leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across European sites.
Nice to have
- Project Management Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA Level C+.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail fulfillment, or high-throughput logistics automation.
- Familiarity with logistics robotics and emerging warehouse technologies.
