Senior Product Design Engineer (AI)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic. Hybrid setup with three days in the office and two days working from home.

hirify.global Group operates an e-grocery platform serving customers across the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Romania, with in-house technology covering storefronts, apps, fulfillment, and last-mile logistics.

What you will do

• Own the design and UX strategy for customer-facing web, iOS, and Android experiences across homepage, search, product pages, basket, checkout, slot selection, and order tracking.
• Manage the Maia AI shopping assistant, defining interaction patterns, information presentation, intervention points, and handoff to human support.
• Build and evolve the multi-platform Maia design system, including component architecture, design tokens, patterns, documentation, and guidance for AI coding agents.
• Lead the full product design lifecycle from problem definition and customer research through prototyping, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
• Conduct interviews, usability testing, and field research directly with shoppers to identify and resolve customer friction.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, commercial, marketing, and operations stakeholders in an autonomous cross-functional team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products with shipped work across web and native iOS and Android applications.
• Advanced Figma skills and deep experience architecting multi-platform design systems at the component and token level.
• Ability to interpret A/B testing data rigorously and distinguish measurable product impact from vanity metrics.
• Practical experience integrating AI tools into design, prototyping, and design system workflows.
• Experience planning, conducting, and analyzing qualitative usability research with end users.
• English proficiency at C1 level or above, with strong communication and product reasoning skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing production-grade AI or assistant-driven interfaces.
• Experience contributing code at the component or token level.
• Background in e-commerce, quick-commerce, online grocery, or last-mile delivery.
• Familiarity with how German customers shop.
• Fluency in German or Czech.
