Quality Engineer (IoT)

Location: Vienna, Austria; expected to work in the office 4+ days per week

What you will do

• Perform manual testing of firmware for next-generation wearable computing devices and identify regressions.
• Test applications on iOS and Android devices and provide information for issue triage.
• Monitor and triage bugs from Jira and crash-reporting tools.
• Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and testing approaches.
• Collaborate with QA, software engineering, design, and program management teams to resolve issues.
• Run test sessions in the Vienna office and improve test coverage through exploratory testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of industry experience in quality assurance.
• Experience with hardware, consumer products, or mobile testing.
• Strong debugging, tracing, bisecting, communication, and issue-classification skills.
• Experience designing and implementing application- and system-level test cases.
• Proficiency with QA tools and familiarity with common development environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with stress and load testing for hardware devices, user interfaces, and cloud systems.
• Familiarity with agile testing tools and methodologies.
• Release testing experience.
• Experience testing Android-based IoT devices.
