Director, DC Operations (West Virginia)

Location: US; site-based at the West Virginia campus. Relocation is expected for candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance.

Salary: $200,000–$270,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity, commission, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations and operational performance for the West Virginia campus and its critical infrastructure.
• Establish staffing, operating models, KPIs, escalation paths, readiness criteria, and standards for safe and reliable operations.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, IT/AI Infrastructure, Security, EHS, Procurement, and other functions on infrastructure deployment and handover.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls, monitoring, GPU infrastructure, maintenance programs, asset management, CMMS, critical spares, and OEM services.
• Lead incident response, emergency procedures, post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Build and develop a high-performing Operations organization through recruitment, coaching, training, authorization, and succession planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in mission-critical operations, data centers, power generation, utilities, industrial facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, or another complex operational environment.
• Experience leading critical infrastructure operations where safety, availability, and operational discipline are essential.
• Experience leading technical teams and developing operational leaders.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure and facility interdependencies.
• Experience with operational procedures, maintenance programs, incident management, emergency response, and MOP-, SOP-, and EOP-driven environments.
• Strong judgment, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills during high-pressure operational events.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale, AI, high-density compute, or large-scale data center infrastructure.
• Experience with high-density electrical distribution, liquid cooling, or other advanced cooling systems.
• Experience with BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, controls, or critical infrastructure monitoring systems.
• Experience establishing operational readiness or handover programs for new facilities and major infrastructure deployments.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, facilities management, or a related technical field.
