Director AI Architecture, Standardization & Engineering Excellence (AI): Defining enterprise AI architecture, standards, operating models and reusable engineering capabilities for Danaher's global operating companies with an accent on scalable AI platforms, governance, developer productivity and secure software engineering. Focus on leading multidisciplinary technical teams, establishing engineering accelerators and improving the speed, quality, reliability and reuse of AI solutions.
Location: On-site in Kraków, Poland

What you will do
- Define the architecture, standards and operating model for designing, building, governing, operating and supporting enterprise AI solutions.
- Lead a multidisciplinary organisation covering solution architecture, engineering excellence, user experience, reliability engineering, edge and mobile solutions, and application support.
- Establish reusable architectures, design patterns, frameworks and engineering accelerators for scalable AI delivery.
- Drive AI-assisted development, modern software engineering, CI/CD, quality automation, DevSecOps and developer productivity initiatives.
- Partner with business, product, engineering and operating-company leaders to align standards and adoption priorities with measurable business outcomes.
- Develop a diverse, high-performing global AI team and advise on enterprise AI strategy and technology direction.
Requirements
- Experience leading enterprise AI architecture, engineering and technology transformation in a complex global environment.
- Success defining technology strategies, standards, operating models and governance frameworks for scalable and reusable AI capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of modern AI architectures, cloud platforms, software engineering, developer productivity, security, reliability and lifecycle management.
- Experience leading senior technical professionals and building multidisciplinary teams across geographies and organisational boundaries.
- Track record of improving engineering effectiveness, quality, speed and reuse through platforms, tooling, automation and modern AI and software engineering practices.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice to have
- Experience building or scaling enterprise AI, data or software solutions across multiple business units or operating companies.
- Experience leading engineering excellence, developer productivity, AI engineering or architecture transformation initiatives.
- Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, advanced manufacturing or other regulated industries.
