Sr. Engineer, Performance Infrastructure (RISC-V)

Location: Hybrid, based in Austin, Texas, or Santa Clara, California, United States

Compensation: $100,000–$500,000, including base and variable compensation targets.

What you will do

• Build and maintain benchmarking automation and CI pipelines for SPEC and real-world workloads across RISC-V silicon, FPGA and emulation platforms, and performance models.
• Own SimPoint generation and management infrastructure.
• Build performance-data collection systems with databases, dashboards, and visualization tools for tracking trends and regressions.
• Develop reproducible workload capture and replay tooling using QEMU- and CRIU-based checkpointing.
• Collaborate with RISC-V software and performance engineers to improve workflows and remove infrastructure friction.

Requirements

• Strong Linux systems engineering experience, including lab machines, clusters, and hardware platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with CI systems such as GitLab and container technologies.
• Experience automating systems at scale, including job scheduling, artifact management, databases, and dashboarding.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology; employment may depend on citizenship, permanent-residency status, or prior export-license approval.
