TL;DR
NFR Specialist (Non-Financial Risk): Supporting risk and control management across an international stakeholder landscape with an accent on policy application, regulatory requirements, analysis, reporting, and process improvement. Focus on identifying and mitigating non-financial risks, resolving complex queries, advising stakeholders, and implementing improvements to controls and procedures.

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; flexible working hours and work-from-home option

Wage: €2,669 gross per month minimum, with final conditions negotiated based on experience and profile

ING is evolving its organisation for non-financial risk, control and resilience activities to create clearer accountability, stronger ownership and a more scalable operating model.

What you will do

  • Own activities related to the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of non-financial risks.
  • Interpret and apply policies, standards and regulatory requirements within established procedures.
  • Research, analyse information, identify trends and prepare clear reports for stakeholders.
  • Provide practical advice on policies and procedures, resolve queries and escalate complex or contentious matters.
  • Support quality initiatives, process and control improvements, agreed changes and implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with international and cross-functional stakeholders and share relevant knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent education.
  • Typically three to six years of experience in non-financial risk, business control, compliance, resilience, consulting, transformation or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of risk management techniques, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience interpreting policies, standards or frameworks and contributing to process or control improvements.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, communication and reporting skills.
  • Excellent command of English; experience supervising junior colleagues is an advantage.
