Working Student (f/m/d) RF Validation and Lab Automation

Location: Hamburg, Germany; on-site with the possibility of a hybrid setup

Salary: €18.90 per hour

NXP Germany participates in the IPCEI microelectronics R&D program and operates the Terahertz Lab for next-generation RF systems.

What you will do

• Perform and analyze RF measurements using high-end laboratory equipment.
• Develop PHY-level, electromagnetic, and system-level simulations for RF systems and passive components.
• Create automated test routines, measurement pre- and post-processing, and remote control for laboratory equipment.
• Generate automated measurement reports and develop automated storage for measurement data.
• Contribute to the NXP-wide lab automation library.
• Work with lab engineers to improve RF measurement setups, automation, and reporting.

Requirements

• Current student of electrical engineering, preferably specializing in RF technologies.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB, preferably for electrical engineering and signal processing.
• Experience with RF measurements and equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and power sources.
• Experience with electromagnetic and system-level simulation software; Ansys HFSS and PathWave SystemVue are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required.
