Internal Audit Senior Associate (Fintech)

Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia; based in the Ljubljana office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Execute end-to-end internal audits across Robinhood’s EMEA entities, including planning, testing, reporting, and remediation validation.
• Conduct walkthroughs, control testing, and substantive testing across Brokerage, Crypto, Security, and Engineering.
• Prepare audit work papers, flowcharts, narratives, risk and control matrices, findings, and recommendations.
• Draft audit reports and present findings to audit leadership, management, and business partners.
• Apply generative AI and workflow automation across the audit lifecycle while maintaining human oversight.
• Support risk assessments, the Internal Audit Plan, third-party engagements, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of auditing experience, including exposure to Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, or IT and Information Security.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Professional auditor certification such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or CPA.
• Experience in e-money, payment services, brokerage, or crypto financial products.
• Familiarity with European and Asian licensing and regulatory requirements, including MiCA, CASP/VASP, PSD2, MiFID II, MAS, DORA, GDPR, and AMLD.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating directly with financial regulators such as ATVP, the Central Bank of Lithuania, CSSF, ESMA, FCA, or MAS.
• Experience working with business, engineering, data, and product teams in a high-tech environment.
