Location: Grafton Campus, Auckland, New Zealand

Salary: NZ$63,600–NZ$79,300 per year, pro rata, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

  • Coordinate academic and pastoral support for Māori and Pacific students in foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes.
  • Administer and manage admissions, academic support, and pastoral support activities.
  • Provide cultural guidance, advice, and mentorship throughout students’ educational journeys.
  • Coordinate student events and work in partnership with academic staff and community stakeholders.
  • Develop practical and innovative solutions while working independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of Māori and Pacific cultures and strong connections with Māori and/or Pacific communities.
  • Understanding of the challenges Māori and Pacific students may encounter at university.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Strong administration, communication, organisation, time-management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
