Detection Engineer CDC / Security Specialist with SIEM Skills (Cybersecurity) (SIEM/SOAR): Developing detection engineering processes and improving cyber defense capabilities through alerting rules, operational monitoring, and security tool integration with an accent on SIEM, SOAR, and incident detection. Focus on implementing detection logic, analyzing and triaging alarms, advising on security architectures, and applying MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001 standards.
Location: Leipzig, Germany; onsite

What you will do
- Take technical responsibility for the Cyber Defense Center detection engineering process and further develop it.
- Improve detection and response capabilities, including workflows and the security toolchain.
- Implement and maintain alerting and detection rules.
- Support analysts with real-time monitoring, event and alarm analysis, triage, and coaching.
- Collaborate with infrastructure operations teams, including Malware Defense and Vulnerability Management.
- Create documentation and advise on solution usage and new tool integrations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent qualification.
- Professional cybersecurity experience, preferably in global companies.
- Experience building or developing Cyber Defense Center structures in an international environment, including SIEM and SOAR.
- Ability to use scripting languages such as Python.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Fluent written and spoken English required; German is an advantage.
