TL;DR
Sr. Manager, Accounting (EMEA Accounting/IFRS): Leading accounting and financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities with an accent on statutory compliance, monthly close, team management, and cash forecasting. Focus on coordinating multi-country audits, strengthening internal controls, standardizing accounting processes, and supporting ERP and M&A integration initiatives.

What you will do
- Help lead the EMEA accounting function and partner with the Senior Director, EMEA on priorities, policies, and processes.
- Manage accounting professionals responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities.
- Oversee monthly close, account reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheet reviews, and statutory financial reporting.
- Coordinate statutory audits, tax advisors, regulators, and the US Group audit team across relevant jurisdictions.
- Support cash management, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity planning with Treasury.
- Drive process standardization, automation, ERP improvements, transitions, entity restructurings, and M&A integration accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-country or shared-services EMEA environment.
- Previous people management experience and a track record of building and leading accounting teams.
- Bulgarian CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent recognized professional accounting qualification required.
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, local GAAP, and IFRS across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
- Excellent English communication skills required, along with ERP and financial systems experience, preferably NetSuite, and strong Excel skills.
Nice to have
- Big Four public accounting or audit experience.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience supporting a US-based group audit.
- German or other European language skills.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
