Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Auckland North Shore, New Zealand; predominantly onsite

Rate: Up to NZD 100 per hour plus GST

Established software company developing and supporting customer-hosted software environments.

What you will do

• Design, build, and test a standalone deployment tool for a Windows Server environment.
• Develop application or middleware logic using C#/.NET, Java, or Python.
• Process deployment instructions from an existing internal system.
• Distribute application files and execute SQL Server scripts across hosting servers.
• Build testing for deployment logic and failure scenarios.
• Support reliable software releases across multiple customer environments using self-managed on-premise infrastructure.

Requirements

• 8 years of total IT experience, including 5 years in DevOps, platform engineering, or similar environments.
• Strong hands-on software development experience with C#/.NET, Java, or Python.
• Production experience with Windows Server and SQL Server, including scripted schema and data updates.
• Experience working with self-managed on-premise infrastructure and strong testing discipline.
• Must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Nice to have

• Middleware or integration development experience.
• Experience releasing software to multiple customer environments.
• Exposure to Octopus Deploy, Ansible, or DSC.
• Experience in software companies or customer-hosted product environments.
