Senior Standardisation Engineer — Back-office (3GPP)

Location: Hybrid work with regular on-site presence at the Barcelona HQ, Spain; occasional travel to 3GPP meetings is required.

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company developing a satellite constellation that connects standard commercial devices directly from space.

What you will do

• Own the standardisation back-office, including meeting preparation, documentation, action tracking, and reporting.
• Lead the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of 3GPP meetings, including agendas, TDocs, change requests, and liaison statements.
• Manage document control, versioning, traceability, and TS, TR, and change-request processes.
• Own non-terrestrial network simulations supporting 3GPP work and internal R&D.
• Analyse relevant 3GPP specifications and contributions, translating their impact into technical input and recommendations.
• Coordinate with chairs, rapporteurs, delegates, technical experts, R&D, Product, and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Several years of practical 3GPP experience, including writing and defending contributions.
• Ability to analyse batches of contributions and develop clear technical positions.
• System knowledge of mobile networks across radio, core, and device domains.
• Programming ability and hands-on simulation experience, including AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience coordinating positions across teams, groups, and releases.
• Working proficiency in English is required; regular on-site presence in Barcelona is required.

Nice to have

• Non-terrestrial networks, IoT NTN from Release 17 onwards, and Store and Forward operation.
• GSMA work involving roaming guidelines, network selection, or operator-facing studies.
• 6G service requirements or architecture work in SA1 and SA2.
• Conformance testing in RAN5 or device certification.
