Sr Spec Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma)

Location: Northfield, Illinois, United States; willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes is required.

Salary: $101,000–$152,000 annual; bonus and/or incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end continuous improvement initiatives, from opportunity identification and data analysis through implementation and benefit realization.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve process efficiency, quality, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate workshops, kaizen events, process mapping sessions, and cross-functional improvement activities.
• Design process controls, metrics, and governance to sustain improvements and standardize successful practices.
• Develop business cases, baseline metrics, and ROI analyses while tracking and communicating realized benefits.
• Coach Continuous Improvement Specialists and partner with Business, Quality, Operations, and IT stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required.
• At least 4 years of experience leading continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives.
• Experience independently managing complex projects and delivering measurable results.
• Advanced problem-solving, analytical, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with process mapping, statistical analysis, Microsoft Office, and other common CI tools.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience facilitating multi-day kaizen events and workshops.
• Experience with regulated environments, quality systems such as FDA, QSR, or ISO, and ERP systems such as SAP.
