What you will do
- Develop and maintain physical database models for corporate and plant business requirements.
- Administer Oracle RAC 19c, Active Data Guard, SQL Server, and related database services supporting PeopleSoft, data warehouse, and manufacturing applications.
- Ensure 24x7 database availability through maintenance, capacity planning, recovery, upgrades, and integrity management.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot defects, and resolve complex issues with software vendors and Oracle Support.
- Advise application development teams on logical and physical data modeling for front-end and back-end systems.
- Coordinate projects and collaborate with application development, infrastructure, system engineering, and plant teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Multi-year experience developing and supporting systems with Oracle 19c or higher in client-server environments.
- Hands-on experience installing Oracle RAC on Linux, configuring Active Data Guard, performing rolling upgrades, and applying RAC patches.
- Experience creating and restoring RMAN backups in RAC and Active Data Guard environments, including Oracle on Linux and Windows.
- Strong database troubleshooting, optimization, performance tuning, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC architecture, database partitioning, Linux, Windows, SQL, PL/SQL, TCP/IP, and relational database management systems.

- Knowledge of SQL Server, Service-Oriented Architecture, Java, XML, and industry best practices.
