Product Management Intern (Fintech)

Location: Mexico, Remote

Salary: $800 USD gross per month as an independent contractor

What you will do

• Support the product manager with drafting, organizing, prioritizing, and tracking tickets for payments service improvements.
• Gather stakeholder context, summarize information, prepare provider meeting materials, and answer routine internal questions.
• Use SQL to query payment data and help maintain dashboards covering payment performance, processing failures, and operational health.
• Identify anomalies in payment flows and support data preparation for reviews and investigations.
• Maintain documentation for payment flows, fee structures, and operational processes.
• Participate in agile meetings and collaborate with engineering, operations, compliance, support, Design, and Data teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Interest in payments, fintech, and complex financial systems.
• Strong curiosity, logical thinking, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working with data and willingness to learn SQL; prior experience is not required.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Ability to work as an independent contractor from Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience in internships, projects, or extracurricular activities related to product, fintech, data analysis, or startups.
• Prior SQL experience.
