Location: Remote, United States; Chicago office listed at 550 Van Buren

Base salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually. Total estimated compensation: $112,000–$171,100 annually.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, reports, and dashboards for multiple client engagements.
  • Develop data models and DAX calculations, and prepare data using SQL, Power Query, and Azure data sources.
  • Support dataset refreshes, pipeline deployments, performance troubleshooting, and reporting issue resolution.
  • Review client data, create mapping logic, and document analytics-ready SQL tables and Power BI datasets.
  • Support Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, SFTP integrations, file transfers, and secure data ingestion.
  • Validate data quality and protect PHI in accordance with security, privacy, and data governance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on Power BI experience, including semantic models, parameters, pipeline deployments, incremental refresh policies, measures, workspace configuration, and credentials.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience, including analytics-ready data models and dimensional modeling.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, flat files, JSON, and healthcare transaction files such as 837/835.
  • Strong attention to detail, data quality, documentation, and the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
