TL;DR
BI Engineer (Data Analyst) (SQL/BI): Building governed dashboards, reports, and data models across Looker Studio, Power BI, BigQuery, Snowflake, and dbt with an accent on reporting accuracy, data quality, and actionable business insight. Focus on validating a GCP-to-Azure/Snowflake migration, troubleshooting Dagster pipelines, applying privacy governance, and prototyping agentic AI and predictive analytics solutions.
Location: Hybrid/remote-friendly for candidates based in Latin America; Santiago, Chile candidates can work from the Santiago office, while candidates outside Santiago work fully remotely. Working hours should align with PT or ET.

What you will do
- Design, build, maintain, and validate BI dashboards and reports in Looker Studio and Power BI.
- Partner with Data Engineering on the GCP-to-Azure/Snowflake migration, ensuring metric parity and reporting accuracy.
- Analyze BigQuery and Snowflake datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and business opportunities.
- Write and optimize SQL and maintain dbt models for scalable, governed data marts.
- Collaborate on Dagster-orchestrated pipelines, troubleshooting lineage and dependencies and contributing to data model design.
- Own the reporting lifecycle from requirements gathering and data modeling through validation and stakeholder walkthroughs, while prototyping agentic AI and data science solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills with BigQuery and/or Snowflake, including complex queries, CTEs, and window functions.
- Hands-on experience with Looker Studio and/or Power BI, plus working knowledge of dbt.
- Familiarity with Dagster, Airflow, or similar pipeline orchestration tools.
- Understanding of data governance and privacy compliance, CRM/MarTech data sources, and the ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Python, pipeline debugging, schema design, and other data engineering experience.
- Experience with OneTrust or a similar privacy management platform.
- Experience with Customer.io, Twilio Segment, or comparable CDP/ESP platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud migrations involving GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with agentic AI, LLM-powered analysis, automated insight generation, or predictive modeling.
