CFX TD - Mid (Houdini)

Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, British Columbia; candidates must be based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: CAD 80,000–98,000 per year for a 40-hour work week. Three-month contract starting in mid-October 2026.

hirify.global is a Vancouver-based visual effects studio creating digital effects for feature films and television, including creature work, animation, compositing, and volumetric effects.

What you will do

• Deliver creature simulations for cloth, muscles, skin, hair, and fur.
• Work within the existing production pipeline and asset specifications.
• Integrate supervisor and client feedback into assets or provide shot-specific fixes.
• Troubleshoot technical and shot-related problems and coordinate with other departments.
• Contribute input on CFX tools and interfaces while meeting productivity and quality targets.
• Attend dailies, reviews, and team meetings.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of feature film or television production experience.
• Demonstrated production experience and proficiency with Houdini, including Houdini dynamics toolsets.
• Strong understanding of real-world physics and anatomy.
• Experience with a Linux-based operating system.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, time-management, and quality-control skills.
• Must be based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Maya.
• Rigging knowledge.
• Python scripting experience.
