Senior Risk Manager – Assurance, Insight & Automation (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the Life Non-Financial Risk oversight, assurance and insight capability.
• Develop the assurance universe, annual plan, methodologies, standards and quality frameworks.
• Produce material risk opinions and provide independent challenge to Executive and Board governance forums.
• Assess risk appetite, control environments, control effectiveness, business initiatives and customer outcomes.
• Act as a subject matter expert in process effectiveness, control automation and AI-enabled transformation.
• Lead team priorities, resource deployment, coaching, mentoring and capability development.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Operational Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Risk Assurance or related control disciplines within financial services.
• Experience with operating model optimization, process design, AI-enabled processes, automation technologies and associated risk controls.
• Experience leading assurance planning, thematic reviews, independent challenge and evidence-based risk opinions.
• Experience assessing future-state operating models, customer journeys and control environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical and risk governance skills, including Executive-level influence.
• Experience leading specialist teams and developing capability; knowledge of emerging technology, data governance and digital transformation.

Nice to have

• Experience in life insurance, pensions or wealth management.
• Experience establishing assurance methodologies, standards and quality frameworks.
• Experience using data analytics for assurance, risk insight and decision-making.
• Relevant professional qualification such as IRM, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA or CII.
