Machine Learning Engineer (Autonomy with dual-use application)

What you will do

• Design, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning solutions for sensor fusion, 3D object detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, scene understanding, and behavior modeling.
• Build and maintain data and training pipelines covering data curation, labeling, augmentation, evaluation, and continuous performance improvement.
• Maintain accurate calibration and alignment across sensor suites and correct sensor drift caused by changing field conditions.
• Integrate, validate, and deploy production-ready models, including real-time inference optimization for embedded, SWaP-constrained, and ruggedized hardware.
• Collaborate with System Engineering, Planning, and other teams to build a safe, resilient, and deployable perception stack.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience and a strong technical background in robotics, machine learning, computer science, artificial intelligence, or mathematics.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and end-to-end model development.
• Strong knowledge of linear algebra, probability and estimation theory, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python, plus strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Self-starting attitude demonstrated through hobby programming or personal robotics projects.
