What you will do

• Review the state of the art in failure management for Optical Transport Networks.
• Investigate machine learning algorithms for data generation and failure prediction.
• Conduct research under the guidance of a senior researcher and collaborate with optical networking experts.
• Present research findings in internal meetings.
• Prepare a final report summarizing the research outcomes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's program in telecommunications, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Python and machine learning techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SDN controllers or Docker.
