U.S. Creative Director (XR)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be located in the United States. The role may include onsite client work and business development travel.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Zoic Labs is an Experience Engineering group creating immersive, interactive, and user-centered digital and physical experiences for government and commercial clients.

What you will do

• Generate and pitch original concepts using concept art, storyboards, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Lead early client conversations, business development trips, and collaborative ideation sessions.
• Translate client goals, brand strategy, user needs, and operational challenges into engaging experiences.
• Work with UX/UI designers, developers, and project leads throughout discovery, brainstorming, and rapid prototyping.
• Explore game engines, AI, spatial computing, and other emerging technologies for practical client applications.
• Support case studies, pitch decks, and thought leadership content.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the successful applicant must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance or government customer access.
• Portfolio demonstrating original creative concepts across digital or physical experiences.
• Strong visual and verbal ideation, storytelling, and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, rapid-prototyping environments.
• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and prototyping tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity.
• AR, VR, or MR headset and tablet-based application design experience.
• Government, defense, game, exhibit, experiential, or environmental design experience.
• Exposure to data visualization or geospatial tools.
