Lead Data Engineer

What you will do

• Own ETL and data pipeline engineering for operating-unit data products and platforms.
• Translate data strategy into technical roadmaps, platform designs, and multi-year engineering plans.
• Design, build, and operate scalable enterprise data platforms aligned with global architecture standards.
• Automate pipelines and operations while improving CI/CD reliability, platform performance, and resilience.
• Integrate system, bottler, and partner data into governed platforms and deliver end-to-end data products with data science, governance, and product teams.
• Build and lead the data engineering team, manage vendor engineering resources, and represent data engineering in governance forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data engineering experience covering ETL/ELT, data platforms, and pipeline operations, with progression into leadership.
• Demonstrated experience building and leading data engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency with modern data stacks, cloud data platforms, orchestration, and CI/CD.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
• Experience with governance or architecture review forums, vendor management, and Agile delivery.
• Business-level English and Japanese required.
