Technical Writer (Defense)

hirify.global is a defense technology startup building AI-guided interceptors for drones and cruise missiles, together with the software platform that powers them.

What you will do

• Own end-user documentation for operator manuals, quick-start guides, field reference cards, and system overviews.
• Document the ISR module, C-UAS platform, MLOps stack, GCS interface, and ground equipment.
• Produce interface control documents, system descriptions, integration guides, configuration references, and release notes.
• Create field-ready checklists, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, training materials, and operational scenario guides.
• Manage the documentation lifecycle, repository, versioning, access control, and publication process in Notion.
• Prepare client delivery packages, acceptance test procedures, delivery dossiers, RFP documentation, and compliance matrices.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, user manuals, or operational guides.
• Experience documenting complex hardware-software integrated systems is mandatory.
• Experience writing for both non-specialist operators and technical audiences such as engineers and system integrators.
• Ability to produce accurate documentation in English and French is required.
• Experience with documentation lifecycle management and versioning in a product environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Paris.

• Background in defense, aerospace, robotics, deeptech, or dual-use technology.
