Lead Architect for Edge Computing

Location: Košice, Slovakia; remote working is available only within Slovakia due to European taxation regulations.

Salary: Base salary from €2,500 gross per month, negotiable based on seniority and experience, plus variable pay and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support Edge computing components, applications, and architecture services.
• Build concepts, processes, and methods for automation, optimization, and standardization of Edge computing products.
• Define production Edge cluster technologies, prepare cluster designs and cabling plans, and lead installations across OS, network, middleware, and application layers.
• Provide technical consulting to employees and customers and create solution designs and technical concepts.
• Lead technical activities across related technologies, coordinate complex third-level infrastructure operations, and improve service delivery against KPIs.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to research, development, innovation, and implementation planning.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in a similar area of responsibility and a university degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, Unix shell scripting, Linux services, and system administration.
• Strong networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, WAN, and VPN.
• Knowledge of Linux virtualization with KVM and server hardware evaluation; middleware knowledge is also required.
• English at C1 level required; German is advantageous.
• Strong presentation skills and experience with technical project leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenStack or OpenShift.
• Valid certification in a relevant technology.
• German language skills.
