DC Operations Manager (E-commerce)

What you will do

• Coordinate daily inbound, production, outbound, dispatch, housekeeping, and 5S operations on the distribution center floor.
• Manage productivity, product quality, equipment standards, operating costs, budgets, and expense control.
• Ensure orders are shipped on schedule and departments meet quality and cost objectives.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process-change initiatives.
• Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold DC Managers accountable across departments and shifts.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain to secure resources for operational projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Management.
• 5+ years of distribution-center operations experience in a complex or large multinational operation.
• Previous managerial experience within a distribution center and demonstrated leadership ability.
• Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System and strong PC knowledge.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical, organizational, negotiation, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, people management, HR/IR, and operational management.
